Volans Consulting was founded by Ian Volans who has been working as an independent consultant since 2005.
Ian entered the mobile industry in 1985, at a start-up called Vodafone in the year in which it launched its original analogue (1G) cellular phone service in the UK.
A strategic thinker, Ian has extensive and varied hands-on experience:

Ian started his career in Brussels and has more recently worked with global membership organisations in the mobile industry and with organisers of some of the world’s largest trade shows: he is very comfortable working in multi-cultural and international environments.
When sport is such an important part of the media landscape, sports rights assume a new significance in shaping the content strategies of broadcasters, telecoms companies and online service providers. Ian Volans’ understanding of sport extends beyond that of a fan having hands-on experience of working on large, international sporting events.
